there’s no place like home

i’ve been back in guate now for almost 3 weeks, though it feels like forever.

i honestly felt like i haven’t left.

since my return i have enjoyed catching up with friends, planning women’s ministry for the remainder of the calendar year, reconnecting with the kids at Fundaninos and generally just getting back into the swing of life here.

summer feels a bit like a blur to me now. but…when i think back on the blessings i received from friend visits and time with family, the joy i have is almost palpable.  it was amazing, but i am back where i’m supposed to be.

this week, a team from my home church, The Village, has been here. it has been fun to hang out with them some and get to know other like-minded Village-ers. 🙂 they have been working very hard this week setting up a medical/dental clinic at the orpahange to hopefully one day service both the kids and surrounding community! pray for a Guatemalan doctor to rise to the challenge of committing on a regular basis to donate his/her services!
