INTIMACY

intimidad (intimacy) is the theme for Casa de Libertad. the sermons in january have focused on both vertical (with God) and horizontal (with others) intimacy. it has been a great foundation leading up to a retreat this past weekend.

27 (ish) of us headed up to a coffee plantation for the retreat. let’s just say…the surroundings alone will stir your heart for the magnificent Creator. wow!!!

i was blessed to work on the small group curriculum for this retreat. as i developed the curriculum, i was praying that the Lord would use small groups to foster vulnerability and intimacy among the attendees. small groups aren’t something that is “norm” around here…so we knew we were stretching people a bit by asking them to share transparently in these groups.

the retreat was awesome. the teaching was right on, and i think people really enjoyed the small groups (for the most part!). i was truly honored to participate in planning the retreat and can’t wait to do it again soon! we are hoping to launch the first-ever church women’s retreat in march. please be praying for God to lead all the planning and preparation!
