frost(y) the “know” man

so…they shared this robert frost poem during our SPLICE training and i loved it. instantly resonated with it.

i think it summed up how we felt our last week of training. so much weighty-ness, hurt, fear, loss to process. don’t misunderstand—it was a good thing.

frost knew how to communicate the visceral feelings of being bombarded… all regards: physically, emotionally, even spiritually.

“The rain to the wind said,
You push and I’ll pelt.’
They so smote the garden bed
That the flowers actually knelt,
And lay lodged–though not dead.
I know how the flowers felt.”
Robert Frost

there will be times this next year, where this i will relive this poem…please pray that God would be the “lifter of my head” in those moments!
